The Zambia Chamber of Mines says the planned 150-million dollars investments in Mungomba mine is a sign that Zambia has become a suitable investment hub.
California-based exploration firm KoBold Metals yesterday announced plans to invest in the Zambian mining industry.
In an interview with ZNBC News Chamber of Mines Chief Executive Officer, SOKWANI CHILEMBO said Lubambe mine contains deposits of cobalt among other minerals essential for the development of electric vehicles.
Mr. CHILEMBO disclosed that this is vital for Zambia as it intends to move towards the development of electric vehicles.
He said the investment will create more employment opportunities for citizens.
