The Public Private Dialogue Forum (PPDF) held its First Private Sector Day on Monday 18th July 2022, under the theme, “Demonstrating Zambia’s Quick Wins”. The event was held at Mulungushi International Conference center and was graced by His Excellency Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, the President of the Republic of Zambia.

The Private Sector Day is aimed at creating a platform where the public and private sectors announce the milestones achieved towards a conducive business environment to strengthen and accelerate production and business growth in Zambia. Further, it allowed the private sector to report feedback on the engagements and findings from the Agriculture, Finance and Banking, and Tourism Technical Working Groups. As well as demonstrate that dialogue can indeed work to resolve business environment bottlenecks.

The official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Zambia and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) also took place at the Private Sector Day. The memorandum spells out the partnership between the #GRZ and #IFC to support the operations of the PPDF Secretariat.
